Lake Michigan ramps
I just found out that Diversey harbor has a ramp. What other downtown harbors have ramps? I know about Burnham, are there others?

Ok after a search, I found the website. Jackson Inner also has a ramp. So out of these got any recommendations, advice, issues with these? I have been to Burnham, it has been a few years. I am keeping an eye on the weather this week and am thinking on Wednesday evening to watch the fireworks?

The Alsip and Summit launches allow you to start and end your boating day with a ride on "poo river" as another board member (pb) calls it.

I should have corrected my initial post. I am looking for direct Lake Michigan access. On occasion I would like to put in downtown to watch the fireworks without a run down the river. After all this rain, the poo river is filled with debris (big branches, wood, and people) that are impossible to see at night. Coming in from the Lake Calumet area there are problems of people shooting at you. Don't laugh we were out 2 years ago with some friends, they went that way back and pop pop pop off a bridge. So at times I would like to have a direct lake access.
So out of Burnham, Jackson and Diversey got any complaints or gripes about their launches.
I hate Alsip for the parking and ramp, and Summit for the single steep ramp. I usually use Worthless.

4 smaller boats, jackson is fine, but i would avoid their ramp if you're trailer is long. There's a son of a pitch to their ramp that some trailers hang up on. otherwise, its the least busy of all the harbors. (i have launched my 34' there no prob.)
burnham has a great ramp, good for big boats, but parking tends to be an issue if you don't get there early enough.
