Default Why not extended tip plugs on S/charger

I read somewhere not to use these but i've had good luck running the AC r42ts plug. I'm I missing something?

They say the tip can get hot and cause detination,that its stick out into the chamber. But in a bot with verymuch idleing the non will load up.

I my race car stuff i run non pro tips with the nos .


I run them at 8.5 pds on 93.

I ran extended tip plugs in my hopped up 525SC. I used NGK UR5's. Same heat range as an AC 41.

I couldn't run regular 42s'without loading up. the ex tip works good.

procharger says not to run extended tip plugs with a blower,it was the only way I could keep them from fouling so I chose to ignore there advice and I have never had a detonation problem,Smitty

I was told by a Champion rep at Daytona that extended tips are cooled by the incoming air charge.
