Headers Question
What headers are available that exit 90 degrees from the side of the engine? Pachanga has the thruhull outlets on the corners. Most headers I see offered are straight back. These would reguire two turns as opposed to 1 like my stock exhaust. Hope this isn't too dumb a question! Any good used or good deals on a set like I need?

we put revolution headers on a BBC in a 27 pachanga with silent choice and bought 4x 90* stainless elbows to make the turns with lengths of rubber hose in between, this could be metal or glass I suppose.
Headers pointed to the stern in normal fashion. we installed rubber flappers inside the factory fiberglass tubes that exit through each side of the hull, did not use the searay mufflers. Very nice sound with a 550hp BBC and almost silent when running through the prop at 3K rpm

the revolution headers work better than stock and outlast some of the big buck stainless items. They are cast aluminum so there is a weight savings. Make the extra turn, it leaves you with a ton of room to work on the motor and looks better IMO.

Thanks for the experienced input! Much better than the what if's! Gotta make a big flow difference if that extra turn can be avoided. I will be going with headers even if I have to make the 2 turns...between the procharger set up and the steering she is gonna be a bit heavy on the arse end! Runnin 2 batteries as well.
Our biggest worry was reversion, however the rev headers have a little dam built in + the silent choice allows excess water to drain down. After three years no problems.
these are the flappers we used in the fiberglass tubes http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=360
they come in several sizes so verify your id on the fiberglass tubes first
