Default Gen 6 cam in Gen 5 block?

Am freshening my Hp 500 and was given a nice gen 6 cam. Problem, when I installed it in the block with the gen 5 cam retainer plate, the cam had considerable end play. Will using a gen 6 cam retainer fix the problem? If so, who sells them? Thanks Chuck
