Day #1..........

If your not here, you should be.
Great bunch of boats so far.....all the regulars, lots of new ones, some really BIG ones, lots of old friends returning, and the boat parade down Duval was great. With the boats getting bigger every year I don't know how they make the corners.
Weather is PERFECT ...

but on one sad note........for anyone who is familiar, Capt. Tony died today and that is the only cloud over Key West.

I'm sure there will be many pictures posted so enjoy what you get to see and hear about.
Kind of a quiet day today but tomorrow it will start to get wilder.

Hey Chris........
I've lost count of the boats but will know more after the drivers meeting this morning.
There were 45 pre registered on sunday but more signed up yesterday and I saw them coming in as late as 10 last night.

Capt. Tony is a Key West legend who was originally from NJ but moved to the Keys when he was young, and was friends with Ernest Hemingway and many other famous people. He had a very colorful life. I think he claimed to be in the pirate business (and more) and his bar down here is a piece of history. He was 94 and I'm sure if you Google his name, you will find out a lot of interesting stories of him.
Also go to Keysnews.com for the local write ups on him
