Formula 312-Spinning in or out?
Had my boat at the lake the other day and noticed my props were spinning in....umm? A buddy with another 312 was spinning out and said he thought all 312's were set up to spin out from the factory. I switched the props and picked up 2 mph and handled much better through turns. Still scratching my head on the setup.
Has anyone else experienced different setups?

My 99 with 454 mags spun in also. Thats interesting to hear that the boat picked up speed when you switched them, there supposed to run faster in, but handle better spinning out.

Thanks for the input, interesting. At Bblades they said it may run faster spinning in, but they said it all depended on the setup. From what I have been told, sometimes the vented hulls perform differently spinning in or out. My friends boat has 502's and I have 7.4 mpi's, big horsepower difference. Can't tell you how much better the boat handles spinning out, plus picked up speed. What kind of speed and props are you getting with the charged 454 mags?
Thanks, Sam

My 98 454 Mag MPI Props turn in and i get 71 on my GPS. This is the way the boat came and I was also told that you get more speed turning in. If i thought i could get another 2MPH out of it I would turn them out.

running 28 labbed b-1 by bblades best top speed 89 mph @ 5400 average speed about 86.5 gps. the imco 2 in shorties planted the rear of the boat and made it handle a lot better above 80 mph.
