garboard drain sealant?
OK, I posted this in general tech questions with no response so I'm hoping my fellow PQ owners will have an answer for me. I know its a pretty simple fix but I want to do it correctly and Somebody has to know what to use.
What is the proper sealant to use when replacing the garboard drain? 4200, 5200 or will below water line marine silicone work fine?

No silicone, I would use 5200 if you have time for it to cure before submergine. Also boat life caulk is good below the waterline and doesn't need to cure completely before submergine. I never liked any silicones below the waterline.

5200 will cure faster in the water and it won't leak. 4200 is basically the same but has half the adhesive properties. It will seal just as well. It also comes in a fast cure version.
