Do your IMCO extension boxes leak?
Mine do! I've used more 5200 than should be allowed by law & I still can't seem to get them to seal up.
Naturally I can't tell where it is entering at, but I have to assume the wing brackets bolts are to blame.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You shouldn't have water in the box. There's nothing to stop the water from coming thru the transom cut out and sinking the boat. I hope you find the leak.

Jason did you silicone the arms? I'm getting ready to put on my boxes and I'm using 4200, but going to let it sit up a little before fully tightening to form a gasket rather than squeeze it all out while tightening. I'm putting black silicone on steering arms when putting on box along with on the bolts and screws of the inspection cover.
I look at it as any water getting in is not good.

Well figured this one out...I HOPE!!!! Mine where leaking on the bolts from the wingplate. I pulled the bolts out and resealed the washers, bolts, and nuts then pulled off the inspection plates(mine have the rubber rope seal) put a bead of silicone on that as well as the screw holes(inside and out) and the screws I think I finally have it sealed!
