Default fuel issue

put a new electric fuel pump on a cant seem to get any fuel out of the tank, i dont no what the problem is. anbody ever had this issue.

did you mount the pump below the level of the tank??

what motors? where is the fuel pump location? in the tank or out?. did you check the fuel pick up if it has one?

Disconnect the line from the tank to the pump. Blow air into the line ane listen for bubbling. Make sure you have hooked up the line from the tank to the correct side of the pump. I don't think its possible to mount it below the tank level since most tanks are at low hull level. Shouldn't matter, pump should have some draft/pull ability. Check pump out line to engine to make sure pump is good. Even new pumps come bad right out of the box. Now that everything is made in Japan or Mexico who checks for quality?

fireboat,you forgot about the chit from china,it is mindblowing how much junk from china ends up in the usa.soon,if you want a job,youl have to move to china or mexico.even msd is importing product from china.ITS ALL

Check the anti syphon valve on the tank outlet.

thanks for all you guys help i will let you no what the out come is, rea son for changing the pump was no fuel was being deliverd to the carb, and my fuel pressure guage wasnt showing any pressure. one more question i have mechanical and electric why both? and yes you could hear my old pump it was still workin, so its aparent its somethin else.

fuel pick up in tank might be damaged or broken. Is there fuel in the fuel filter?
