292 Fastech or 336 SR1 or 353 Fastech
Guys I boat on Ohio River , Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow lake most of time trying to decide from people who know out there best buy for market right now. Rebuilt 336SR1 (454 with blowers from factory) Chicago area boat owned by Tim Lane asking $69K with 50 hours and 2006 outdrives or buy Newer 292 Fastech 6.2 around $100K or 353 fastech in the $130K range with 496? I know if a man could find 353 Fastech with 525s is best all around but $$$$$$

Here's a 353 that is really a good deal considering it needs nothing. Just buy it and put gas in it and have fun !!!
And it runs over 80 mph !!! And don't be afraid to make an offer !!!! Give Bill a call.

TerraTRQ,
If you like the 353, I think you would be dissapointed with the 292.....SMALL BLOCKS! There are some great 353's out there right now reasonably priced. I would select a little older 353 with 500 HP's.....just my opinion, but there is a real difference between the 496's and the HP 500's on that boat.
I have driven both, the 292 and 353 and there is no camparison in my mind. I don't care for the planning time of the 292's either. I don't know much about the older 336's.
Where do you boat in Lake Cumberland. My wife and I have a house on the lake in Bronston. We trailer to Burnside Island or Conelly Bottom almost every weekend. Live in Cincinnati.
