mercruiser 5.0 question
been working on a 5.0 gm in a 26 fiesta rinker POS. boat is 03 same as motor. its a fuel injected..
problem is boat will cold start no problem let it ger warm and shut it off then fire it up no problem. let it sit for 25+ minutes it takes 7-8 turn overs to fire as soon as it runs you can shut it off let it sit 5 min and turn key no problem..
have it hooked up to mercury diagnostic software and everything seems fine.
intake manifold pressure- perfect
temp - perfect (150)
tps - perfect
iac valve - operating properly
no vacume leaks at all for fuel pressure regulaor.
cool fuel system working with proper fuel temp.
43lbs of fuel pressure at schrader valve on fuel rail.(no drop)
boat is not throwing any codes. no noises just a biach to start if u get her to opperating range temp and let it sit for 25+
also tryed puting motor inot base timing mode (10 degrees BTDC) thinking the ecm was reading reseting itself trying to find base time..
