Default Blinged up the bolsters...

I can't remember if it was Axapowell or Lake Effect that had the candy red bolster supports, but it inspired me to strip mine down and get away from the all-white look. GM charcoal metallic (left over from my engines), cleared over with a healthy dose of both silver pearl and prismatic powder mixed in...

Now, I need to wait for spring.

Yes - Those pictures don't begin to capture the sparkle either. Just having some contrast in color helps, though.

Steve H - Thanks for the tip. That's the former Rain-X boat from 1996 that caused the A-class/AX-class flap. The last time I saw it was on TV in 2000 or so, after Bill McComb had it painted black. If I didn't have one already, it would be a great deal. It's almost worth the money just for the parts.

Very nice job! It was I who did the red. I am going to build or design a trim piece for the top of the base this year to. (Where the bolts hold it to the floor) It just looks like it needs something there.

Hoping to upgrade the dash panels as well, I'll keep you posted!

DAVE,(AXA)
I installed my step plates, they look awesome. I also bought Eddie Marine handles and backing plates. I don't like the way the plates look,so I opted not to install them. Looking around the boat and thought the same thing. I'm going to trim the plates, drill and polish them to fit the seat bottoms.I'll post pics when complete. P.S. The reason I didn't put the plates behind handles is that the 382 has a step where they mount.

Bondo10 (Jeff),

Let's see some shots! You polished, right? Sorry C Spray...wicked hijack!

We should start a new thread "Upgrades to your Formula! What have you done?"
