My thought is to call Holley Tech and then post the answer. I am guessing it can be done....maybe a change in metering blocks and then blocking the midrange idle air bleed? The 3-circuit carbs will forever be rich in the mid-range.
I noticed in latest Jegs catalog that the new Holley Marine 1050 Dominators are now 2-circuit....it has been a long wait!

Default Holley 9377 3 circuit metering to 2 circuit.

Holley Tech said plug the 4 brass tubes with lead fishing weights and you have a 2 circuit metering carburetor just like that! Well it looks like I got a good deal after all.

Do a search on here about them. I recently purchased 2 1150 Pro systems carbs and had to eliminate the intermittent circuit. All I had to do was block off the intermittent jet but was told to leave in the vent., it worked good on the dyno.

I have always used a 3 circuit 4500 series carb. The tuning from the idle circuit into the mains allows for a better transition on a 3 circuit, you can also add or remove fuel in the mid-range. The 3 circuit will also allow you to add fuel to the over-all on the main circuit, by not going over-board on the jets or air-bleeds. Sometimes the power valve will be held open indicating a rich condition in the intermediate circuit, all of which is adjustable. You can properly set up your 3 circuit, with some general knowledge and patience.

Is this true/apply for a roots style marine supercharged application as well? Thanks, Mark

the 3 stage carbs are only a benifit on drag race cars when using a trans brake and leaving at WOT and you need extra fuel on the launch as the accel pumps are already passed...has no advantage on marine set-ups...the block offs are easy to do and work fine...Rob
