need some help with vinyl on the 242
I e-mailed Formula about getting some replacement vinyl for my 89 242LS I need to redo the side panels on the port and Stbd sides. I have the Teal, white,Black and grey colors. Can you guys tell me where the best place to get this vinyl is? What number is the Teal? and what number is the grey?
This is what they Said.
"We do still carry the black (#0338) and white (#0344) vinyls, but not the turquoise. You can order the available vinyls through a Formula dealer or local marine business, or an upholstery shop. Hope this helps. "

88242LS,
Thanks, but I live in BFE right now and not in Northern Michigan anymore. There is no shop anywhere around here. I was planning on replacing the wood. I even thought abut making new ones with bondoingover new wood and then using automotive paint and clear coat. Not sure if it would look good with the rest of the vinyl though.
And yes the forward ones were a lot harder than the aft ones.

Too bad you waited so long - Formula replaced all my side trim pieces n/c because of the wood preservative bleed thru on my 1989 242ss. The new pieces did not have that green stuff on them.
