electric cabin door
Does anyone know what kind of actuator is used for a power cabin door? I'm looking to convert my door to electric and if I had some parts that are already used it could make it alot easier! Thanks for any info.

OK, I think it's a REALLY bad idea. Blow a fuse or run down the battery and your stuck in the cabin....
But it would be kinda cool.
I've bought actuators from theses guys. They're used to lift 100lb plasma Vs, so I'm guessing a cabin door shouldn't be a problem.

there is a GM power window motor that runs the power cabin door on my 2000 Nordic Heat. pretty slick how it works.
however, i do always worry about blowing the fuse or having the motor burn up while the door is shut, hatch is locked and i'm outside the cabin.
