Looks like the one I use (Stock HP500) and I have had NO issues with this unit. I have upgraded just about everything else including my oil coolers, lines and remote unit on the block with larger fittings.

They open at 200 and then settle back at 180 on a normal 2800-3200 RPM cruise. I have 3" x 18" Hardin coolers and at WOT after a couple of minutes I can see mid to high 200's. I am running 10 quart Hardin Pans and Hardin oil filter adaptors with (I think) -10 kevlar / nomax lines. Real good set up with no problems with condensation or flow.

Let me know if you need anyother info. Got your PM, will try to call you tomorrow.

Dave

Just installed my HP500 oil thermostat yesterday...on a 502 mag, works awesome. was only getting 120-140 before now runs 210 wide open and a little let maybe 180-190 at cruising. takes 5-10 mins to get oil temp up and it hold good. Ran all -12 fittings. Got better oil pressure at idle and wide open too than my stock 502 mag stuff. Used a hardin 16 inch cooler mounted in front where old cooler was with 3/4 NPT fittings. Very happy.
