Default Water sender question

What water sender goes in where a t-stat /crossover is located? Is it the water pressure or temp? I am assuming its temp but want to make sure. I noticed on my Hawk 525 the wire terminal on the sender just pulled right out.

The water temp sender and high water temp alarm are there.
Water pressure gauges are mechanical and use a small plastic tube that connects to the gauge.

Hopefully that is for your blower boost and not fuel pressure.
