Markel has provided us the option of eliminating the overland transportation restriction for boats in our exclusive Ultra Performance program. Previously, the policy limited boats which were capable of speeds in excess of 120 mph to a 200 mile radius from the primary storage location. If your boat is not on a Storage and Transit policy or in the Lay-Up period, once the policy is endorsed you can transport your boat anywhere in the U.S. without having to call us for a trip endorsement. Once this change is made, you will receive an endorsement from Markel regarding the change to your policy.

Just to clarify, this important policy change only applies to “transporting” your boat. If you want to “operate” your boat outside of the navigation area as it appears on your watercraft declarations page, you will still need to contact our office so we can appropriately endorse your policy to reflect your requested area of navigation.
