Default Internal Platform Flappers - 88 242LS

All,

I think the previous owner may have removed the internal flappers from inside the swim platform. Are they necessary? Do they serve a purpose?

Thanks,
Peter

No you should be fine ,most of the older boats most likely burnt off over the years the swimplatform will work as you baffle.

Thanks Masi. My concern is that the internal platform baffles will prevent water from being sucked back in or flowing back in through the exhaust? Should I be concerned with that?

The chamber inside the platform is big and has drains, only so much water can flow thru the rectangle exhaust to back flow.
