Interior cleaning
Looking for the best way to clean up the interior of a boat I just bought. Looks like it has a little mold on the vinyl. The interior is white mostly. The boat is a baja 30'. Thanks guys.......

Do a search. This has been discussed many times. Lots of opinions.

Simple green and a Magic Eraser. Lightly scrub as if you were polishing the vinyl. Then sponge off with warm water. Finish up with your favorite protect ant and you will be amazed.

I use a magic eraser soaked with a mild degreaser and it works great every time. Works great for the floor of the boat too!!!

Someone had once mentioned that scrubbing with a magic eraser may be abrasive enough to remove a "UV" coating from vinyl. I'm not very knowledgeble regarding the composition or makeup of vinyl, but is there indeed a UV blocking layer on most marine vinyl or is this just BS? I'd hate to go over my interior only to have it come apart in a year.

The UV properties of plastics (including vinyl) are chemicals added to the product during production (ie, mixed in) rather than a coating on top. You can apply more as a coating, but that's going to wear off anyway.
