Speedo quit working
My speedo quit working last time I was out. Just a basic original factory Formula speedo.....think it's a VDO. No GPS or anything like that.
The pick up is on the leading edge of my port Bravo 1. I looked for debris and didn't see any. The tube that connects to the top of the drive is locked in place as it should be. Any tips or ideas on what else to check or how to fix it?
I know it's no big deal, and not 100% accurate, but it drives me nuts when things don't work.
Thx!

Disconnect the tube from the back of the speedo and hit it with some compressed air. If it flows air out the pitot hole on the drive, the speedo is junked. If not and it flows out somewhere else, find the leak and fix it. If it doesn't flow out anywhere, find the restriction and clear it. You can also attach a hose to the speedo and blow really really hard into it ( no shop air !!!!!! ) and see if the speedo jumps a little.
