Default 242ls fuel sending unit

my sending unit is no good, it was bouncing from e- 3/4 tank while not moving then I tried checking for a good connection and I fixed it so good it just stays on e my question is do i have to pull up the center floor section to pull it out? I have an access hole but it is off to the side of access. Is there anything I need to do ,other then remove screws, when pulling it and reinstalling it?

I have never had mine up. I can reach mine leaning into the bilge. I would try that.

You can get it out without removing the floor... Just remove the screws and pull it out. If you have a 242 SS you may have to pull the floor panel but the LS will come out with everything in place!
