Default Help please with a 525

I have an 2004 525EFI merc with a warning alarm sounding off every now and then. When it sounds off it will do it five times and then go away. All engine gauges read the same as the other engine and the drive oil is full. The alarm is random...it may sound a few times a day or not at all. The engine runs and sounds fine when the alarm sounds. I'm sure the five beeps is a code for something. Can any one help?

Wink Don't Guess

Can you spell scan tool?
Borrow, buy or see a shop that has one.
Everything else is a WAGMAR- Wild Ass Guess Made At Random!

Best Regards,

Already scanned the engine...Can you spell NO CODES?

A five beep warning is a serious condition according to the Merc diagnostic Manual and several things can trigger it. However, I have no codes now. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those "get lucky" things to find.

Just posting a follow up to my original post. After about 20 more hours on the boat all is well. I never found anything and all is running perfect. Who knows might have just had some corrosion on the pins and unpluging/plugging cleaned them. Anyway, all is well.
