Default Water Pressure Relief Needed?

Hi everyone, happy thanksgiving.

Based on my setup, do I need to plumb in a water pressure relief valve and dump?

1985 Mistress, mild 468's, original pickups (aluminum casting with a "grate" that hangs down an inch or so off the transom). I'm using crossovers and Stainless Marine manifolds.

It's a pretty heavy setup and I'm not planning any more power for a long while. Just trying to keep it simple and get it wet ASAP.

Many thanks, Randy

Can you cut down the PU to reduce the depth below the bottom? What is the current water pressure? A picture of you PU would help.

I've never had the boat out so I have no idea on what pressure it will run. I'm just getting the engines buttoned up and trying to get a read on whether I should plumb these in from the start or try it out. On a budget.

I can post a pic later this week. It's definitely "re-shape-able".

Thanks for your help.

like elitemarine.get a gage on it and check it out.your pressure should be some where around 12-25 pounds depending on your setup.i am sure someone else will chime in.
