Default IMCO Power Flow or CMI Sport Tube

I was wondering if anyone out can tell me if I was to install the CMI sport tube headers on a 3.3 whippled 598cu.in big block if there would be an increase in hp and torque. With the IMCO powerflow manifold as tested on the dyno numbers came in as 951.4hp and torque 910.9 @ 5600rpm. How much gain would I get by installing the cmi's roughly?I haven't dyno'd with the cmi's and probably won't.
Thanks

My guess is you will see an increase in torque at lower rpms and even up at the higher rpms.

I would think so also. Even with forced induction, i would think the engine would benefit from the increased flow of a true header.

But you are at 950HP now. Even if they got you to 1000 each, i dont think it would be worth much speed wise.If you had dynoed with dyno headers, your numbers would prob be higher. 950 thru yours i'd say your doing good!!!!!

What's the ID of the Sport tube primaries ? how much boost are you running ? what heads ? what cam ? Small heads, small cam, low boost, 1.875 primaries probably won't make much difference.

Did you call Whipple ? Dustin would probably have all your answers, might save you some money.

I think a set of Sport Tubes (or sweeper style headers) would net both hp and torque gains, but the Etops are a little small. Although the Etops will work just fine on your engine, I don't think you will see much gains from them over the manifolds.

I have a set of cmi sport tube headers. Its sounds like I should pair them up with the motor, however I am getting mixed reactions. I will have t e-mail Dustin and see what he suggests. Thanks everyone.
