Looking to go faster with a 382. How fast would a 382 run with twin 600's

Are you talking Fastech. The one I've been on did 88-90 mph.

I had 620hp in a 2002. Always kept it full of gear and heavy on fuel. Saw 86 with labbed 30's in flat water, 90 degree day. Usually ran 15.625 labbed 28 Max's and could only do 83, but 3,500 was 58 on GPS.

but.....I did make 700 lbs or torque which is more than most 600hp motors.

Vic Spellberg had the first set of Merc 600's in a 382 down in Miami in 2005. We went out on it in Biscayne Bay and the boat ran about 78 - 80mph. They were still dialing in the props, but I don't see props picking up another 8 - 10 MPH on that boat.

Tops, dialed in props, perfect conditions with a light load and you will see Maybe 84.
