I got my hp6 filter head mounted today on the back of my port cylinder head and had to flip the mounting bracket around in order to lower the filter down because it was right in the way of my exhaust s-bend. Anyways, now the filter is in the way of the drive reservoir. Does anyone know if someone sells a shorter hp6 filter. The one that's currently on it is a fram (about 6 1/2" long) which I was planning on changing out anyway. All I need is about 1" and the reservoir will clear. Thanks, Mark!

I have never seen or heard of one. Your best bet is to go to the auto parts store and look through the filter book. Go to Advanced. They will have a book with filters broken down by thread size of the inlet. You can look at filters with the same thread pitch and size and find one with a shorter height. The other crucial measurement is the o-ring size. You will have a little room to play with on o-ring size as the sealing surface of most filter mounts are larger than need be. If you find one that works, pay attention to the GPH flow and filter size in microns.
I do this frequently for fuel filters and it works great. Good luck.

Thanks Eddie, I will see what I can find. It just seems a lot easier to use a shorter filter rather than relocate the reservoir.
