Default Boat Covers

I'm looking to order a "Semi-Custom" cover from one of the companies advertising on-line. Does anyone have any experience good or bad?

I have had great experiences with custom Westland covers in Sharkskin material. The Sunbrella is quite a bit more. Sold at a ton of online sites. Should be around $400 for your Formula.

www.coverquest.com

and plenty more sites. The "semi-custom" ones are not custom at all. I have one for my 342 and it fits like a garbage bag. Really sucks. It came with the boat when I bought it. Brand new though so I can't justify another right now.

Semi custom cover. You can't tell in this picture but it gets all bunched up in front of the windshield. The custom ones will have a draw rope hemmed into them. The semi custom ones have a bungy cord. The cord makes it harder to put on in my opinion.

I've had good luck with "sharkskin" covers too.

Add a vent and one of these poles...

I purchased off a site called boatcoversdirect.com for my 97 Fastech. It fits very well, it is the high performance polyguard material. Cost about $400. I unroll from to bow to stern and use ratchet straps to pull tight. Then secure sides.
