Gauge Issues
I purchased a new boat and quite a few of the gauges do not work.
The boat has vessel view and all the readings are correct on that but I would still like all the gauges to work.
What is the best way to start tracking down the problem?
Thanks

the electric gages are really picky for voltage and grounds because thats the ref signal they use... the sender creats a voltage thru a piezo electric crystal and the gage refrences to the system voltage thru the ground. if the ground is bad the gage thinks the signal is low. if the power wire is bad , same deal. also... most of these gages and senders are really scrap anyway. i bought all new gafrigs and they were inaccurate for the most part and scrap after a year. i would look at autometer.. the glycerine filled ones...
