Help with Latham steering on a fountain 12M
Hey Guys
I have latham steering on my fountain and need to change the filter since its old and looks like axx. It has a large blue conatiner (looks like a resivoir) and then a block and a filter along with a pump on the motor. As I said I want to change the filter but then dont know what to refill with, how to refill and how to purge if necessary. I will post pics if needed but could use some help. Thanks

I have the blue Latham container(reservior) on my boat. Is the filter separate from reservior? I have the Latham manual install instructions will look tomorrow when near boat to see if anything about a filter. I don't think I have a filter on mine tho. Brian

pitts1313 the filter is seperate from the blue res. I think to fill the system you undo the bolt on the top of blue resivor??? I can undo the filter I hope and will refill it before I put it back on but want to make sure I do it correctly and use proper fluids etc. Anyinfo is great thanks.

Thank you to the couple people and Latham. It sounds pretty simple unscrew the filter refill it and screw on. Top off resivoir and dont let anyone touch the wheel or drives. Run for 10 -15 minutes to get air out then be on my way.
