Financing for a 25 Outlaw?
Have a friend shopping for a 25 Outlaw and isn't happy with the rates he's getting quoted from his local banks. Any alternatives out there he can check with?

You've probably heard it before but local credit unions are the best. When I bought a few years the credit union would finance $35K with nothing down and the branch manager could "OK" it....anything over that had to go a step higher and required some money down. I think the rate at that point was 8%.

I would agree local credit unions are sometimes the best not always. The best rates I have been getting lately have been out of state big business banks over the internet. Like you said he just has to do the research himself. When it boils down to it if your borrowing 40k on a boat im assuming thats what this boat would cost if its new, half percent or even a percent doesnt cost or save you that much

But I must add if you think you cant afford it and thats your intial gut feeling than you probably cant. Thats what you hear alot from people who say they cant find good rates and such. Sometimes it better not to buy or to buy older or smaller
