Question sbc crossover pipe

Gathering info for a 385 build. Is a crossover system any better than a circulating pump system? Thanks in advance and i'm sure i'll have plenty of other questions. R.

Crossover systems work if they are done right. Make sure you use a high flow thermostat with bypass holes like a Stewart. Also make sure you crossover system has the bypass tube also. I have a crossover system on a 522 that seems to work real well from Stainless Marine. I plan on plumbing the back water jacket ports on the intake to the front to help balance the flow and reduce hot spots.
