...Fed Ex delivered my new carburetor...got it on the starboard motor and like I always do I went to start both engines before leaving the house...starboard starter went out.

GD it all!! Called the supply house.."Yeah...we have one"
Hauled ass accross town...called my neighbors 21 year old son and ace marine mechanic...got him set up. What a pain in the ass!!! After pulling the out board exhaust manifold off and the entire rear cockpit of the boat out it still took a while to find the right combination of stuff to get the starter off. The magic wand was a 3/8" air rachet with a short 9/16" socket on a 8" extension...no room to turn a regular rachet...got to use airtools or you're pulling the engine. ran out of daylight...new starter is going in tomorrow.

I guess it's a blessing it happened in the driveway than at the sand bar.
