Default Port side trim delayed with thumb switch ?

when I hit the two trim switches on my dash they work at the same speed, with no hesitation......when I use my thumb switch on my throttle the port side drive hesitates then moves at same speed as the stbd........could this be possible ? is it a bad connection ? where do I start ?

I would look for a freyed wire under the throttle base first. I've had this happen before as it can be easy for it to be abraded by the throttle levers.
