Default 496 oil pan

Got a new oil pan for my new 496 shortblock. It fit fine until I installed my oil pickup tube. My stock pan which was destroyed by a flying rod is about 2 inches deeper. Is it ok to get a new tube or is the extra depth oil volume that big of a deal ? Got the pan for 250$, mercruiser wants 600$ for one. Thanks

After checking the numbers of the stock pan and the new one it turns out they sent me a truck pan instead of a marine. Thanks for the video , still helpful
