Default Htg 583cid, Starter Staggered? # Ofteeth On Flywheel?

Hello,

Sorry if these are stupid quesions, but I don't know the answers! I need to order a new cvr or tilton starter and need to know if it is a staggered bolt pattern( think it is) and how many teeth are on the flywheel.
Not sure if anyone can answer without knowing the boat, or if they are all standard.
Thanks in advance!
RYAN

12 1/2" flywheel has 153 teeth and 14" flywheel has 168 teeth. More than likely, you have the 168 tooth flywheel. Most of the gear reduction starters will work with either. Some will not so be sure to check.

168 tooth, have to look at your block to see starter bolt pattern, maybe both....
