Differences in Volvo and Merc EFI?
I have a Volvo system kicking around the garage which looks very similar to the 525 setup.
Anyone happen to know if there is any differences? Haven't looked into it in much detail yet.
May just use the top portion to get away from the side entry on a 502mag and keep the rest merc if that's possible.

Same stuff... VOLVO just used a different fuel cooler and line routing + a low pressure primary delivery pump. IMO better stock equipment than MErc.

In the 2000's to current the Computers used by Volvo went from MEFI 4 to EControls currently since 2004 and Mercrusier had ECM / PCM 555 Motorola to Visteon currently since 2009 / 2010.
90s Volvo had MEFI 1, 3, 4 thru out that time frame while Mercruiser had MEFI 1, 2, 3 thru out that time frame.
Motor info - They used totally different fuel cool systems along with totally different water pump impellers and their waterpump housings and setups. T-stat housings and t-stat are different design but both use 160 degrees. t-stats. What Volvo setup and year do U have?
