Question 120 volt breaker panel

I am in the process of turning an ordinary 5000 btu window a/c unit to marine. I am fabricating the window unit to fit in my cabin. I am almost to the point where I will be needing to power it up but I currently do not have shore power. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get a breaker panel for a 30 A service?

Check out www.greatlakesskipper.com they have a ton of stuff that is either salvage or overruns from a ton of different production boats. Their inventory changes all the time so you need to keep checking to see what is new.

I don't get it. Are you chain sawing a hole in the side of the hull for the back of the window unit to stick out of?

Are you putting it on top of a hatch?

Defender. Check out the Paneltronics line of panels. Great prices and a clone of Blue Seas.

Greatlakes skipper has tons of inventory, but usually have higher prices than most.

Here is an update on the custom a/c I am currently building. To answer a question.... No I am not "chain sawing" a hole. This is going to be a totally custom setup at a fraction of the overall cost on a "true" marine air conditioner. Hopefully in a few days I will be ready to braise it all together and give her a try! I will try to post a few pics and explain how I am doing this. But for now... Gotta get busy on her.

Had a buddy that mounted an AC in the frame supports of the dock, then run a flex hose to his cabin. Course it ran non stop, but he likes it cold and could adjust cabin temp by opening a hatch. Redneck install, but sometimes... till the marina said no can do no longer, and installed a marine unit in his boat at cost to appease him.
