Teague Custom Marine Poised for More Big (and Compliant) Power in 2012

Evolving from one the best shops on the West Coast to an international player in the high-performance marine engine game, Teague Custom Marine has continually pushed the boundaries of high performance offshore durability and power. Teague Custom Marine has an entire family of proven EFI engine packages, including the 825, 1025, and 1200EFI. Its newest creation is the 1365 Quad Rotor EFI. Running on 91 octane pump gas, this monster makes over 1365 horses at 7000 RPM and over 1100 ft/lbs of torque for blistering acceleration. Teague has chosen to utilize the new Whipple Superchargers dual 4.0L screw compressor setup with the new FOAIC dual core intercooler for the best efficiency and lowest intake air temperatures we have ever seen in this horsepower range. This same configuration can be built for unlimited class racing use or no-holds-barred poker running to make over 1500 horsepower on leaded racing fuel. Furthermore, Dry-Sump oiling is a standard option on Teague engines 1335 horsepower and up.

Teague Custom Marine has also rolled out their Stage IV Mercury Racing engine upgrade and rebuild programs. Time to rebuild your Mercury 600, 700, 850, or 1075SCi? Get more power and reliability with a 90 day warranty for less cash than a factory refresh. The 600 and 700SCi’s are transformed into the Teague 875SCi, making 875 horsepower on 91 octane. This program utilizes new rods, pistons, CNC ported heads, dual stage water system, and severe duty fuel system upgrades in addition to a full engine rebuild. The 850 and 1075SCi’s are transformed into the Teague 1225SCi, making 1225 horsepower on 91 octane at 6800 RPM. This program utilizes the new Whipple 2.9L compressor kits, T&D Steel shaft rockers, and proprietary ultra-performance cam and lifters in addition to a full engine rebuild. To date, Teague is one of only three marine engine builders that are California Air Resource Board (CARB) certified for new engine sales in the state of California. The 1365 Quad Rotor is the most powerful emissions certified engine in the entire nation. During 2012, current certified engine manufacturers are finalizing their compliance testing and procedures to meet EPA standards that will go into full effect for the high performance engines in January of 2013. The EPA and CARB emission standards are similar with a few variances in test procedures. Teague Custom Marine’s family of engines has been certified as CARB compliant as standalone offerings. Canada accepts engines that are CARB compliant for sales into its country as well. As a side benefit of spending the necessary resources to complete the compliance testing, the overall performance and durability of the TCM engines are comparatively superior.
