YOU ARE VIEWING A WORLD FAMOUS 39' DON ARONOW USA #1 CATAMARAN . BUILT BY DON ARONOW . BUILDER OF THE CIGARETTE, DONZI , AND MAGNUM , DON BUILT 5 OF THESE CAT'S FOR PRIVATE USE . THIS ONE BEING HIS OWN . [ I WAS TOLD ] THEN HE BUILT 18 MORE FOR U.S CUSTOMS AND D.E.A [ 39 BLUE THUNDERS ] FOR CHASING DONE DRUG RUNNERS IN SOUTH FLORIDA AND THE ISLANDS . THEY WILL OUT RUN ANY OTHER CAT LONG DISTANCE IN BIG BLUE WATER . EVEN RACING ALL THE WAY AROUND ENGLAND . THIS WAS ONE OF DON LAST GREAT CREATIONS BEFORE HIS DEATH . I'm thinking that this would be a great project for an eccentric millionaire that has the bottomless bank account required to make this boat run strong.

I'm thinking a pair of 1350 Mercruisers on No. 8 drives.

It's a very cool example of power boat history! The amount of work it needs the price should be lower, I think he is asking to much. It's going to need EVERYTHING to get it back on the water. When I retire and have the extra time to spend I want to restore a old boat like this, but I won't overpay for the project. He is asking 14k I am thinking its worth 5k in current condition.
