Default Just purchased a 1988 Wellcraft Nova Spyder 26

Looks like I need to change my username!! LOL!

Just bought this Spyder...It has a single 454 mag with Bravo 1, drop out bolsters, gaffrig controls, electric engine lift, nice sound system including 6 6x9's and 4 6.5 jl audio separates plus 2 amps and 2 capacitors. I have no idea of top speed but am guessing close to 60. Today when we took it out I had 4 adults 2 children and 100 gallons of fuel and we hit 50.
Overall a pretty clean boat...Unfortunately, it does have bottom paint which Im going to remove, a few cupholders need to be replaced and I need to add a couple subs, amps and speakers but overall this is a great boat and Im very happy with the purchase and now little I paid for it...
Is it summer yet??

Looking good. Do boat in the sound? Lake Washington? I may see you out and about this summer.

Yes I am. I don't visit it a whole lot though, It can get pretty slow there. I guess I gotta get the old bird running in top shape by July. I'll try to make it out there, that would be a blast.

Prefer them clean. That tower's wind drag is probably slowing you down 5mph.

I agree with everyone on the tower! I will most likely be removing it and selling it. The prior owner had teenagers and thought it would be a cool thing to add...Reality: It looks ridiculous on a boat like this!!

I too was thinking that the added weight and wind drag are probably costing me some speed!
