Default Need 35' Fountain Insurance

Ok, here's the deal. Have been insured with State Farm for probably 40 years without a probelm. Have 4 cars (including 2 Corvettes), 4 non-performance boats and a jet ski, two houses and an umbrella policy in Maryland with them. I am 60+ years old, have no traffic violations and had a 47' Fountain with triple 525's with them for seven years. Had big Sea Rays and Viking sport fish with them several years ago. Never a claim on anything. So I sell the 47' and buy a 2007 35' Lightning with staggered 525's and my local agent says no problem and hooks me up with a great rate. Just get a letter from home office advising they won't cover the boat and give me ten days before cancellation. I did get a quote from Markel through Keenan Marine which was decent but I recall a thread that bad mouthed Markel on claims. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks. John, [email protected]

Cancel all your coverage with St Farm then call Stacy at Wakezone! I had the Farm on my last Sunsation. With them 4 years same boat no claims. Sent my payment in and recieved the same letter. Been with Stacy for the past 7 or so years, different boat, better coverage, and lower premium.

The best rate you will get on that package is from Stacy. Had our 38/700 Fountain with her. Best service, always gets back with you. I guess State Farm found out how fast your 35 will run!!

Stacy can write the whole package cheaper or just the boat.

Call your SF agent. Most State Farm agents should be able to get that pushed through underwriting without much of an issue. I got the same letter and a refund check when I insured my AT and my agent had already pushed it through before I received the letter.

You are lucky that you never had any claims with SF!!!!! Check on the internet to see how they took care of all their clients when the hurricanes were going hot and heavy several years ago------ Same old tired story---they have an excuse for every thing. Good luck in finding something................

Call your agent, and make them work for you. That's what we pay them for. They can go to bat for you with underwriting to get it pushed through. My last boat was with State Farm and they told me to "take some anlged pictures that makes it looks less pointy."

Granted, hard to do with a Fountain, but still; don't give in based on one letter.

My agent got mine pushed through, and has never let me down.
