This event started in 2000 and at that time was the only boating toys for tots event in existence we are now the biggest boating toys for tots event in the nation. We have guests who come from all over the nation to enjoy the warm winter climate in Florida. For the past several years the tour has enjoyed clear days and 70 degree temperatures. This Toy drive usually collects over $14000 in toys and gift for the kids of this community. This brings the returns on investment to about 6200%, and the kids smiles are priceless
The TFT tour has had coverage in several major boating publications and we have a commitment from a major magazine again this year. We also get extensive coverage on several web sites and are always covered by the local media. The TFT tour has been endorsed by the Mayors office the Chamber of Commerce The Tourist Development Council and The Putnam County Sheriffs Office and most importantly the US Marines
The TFT tour has a greater participation than poker runs. One reason for the great participation is that the event main purpose ,to give to kids it is a purpose that everyone can relate to. Also that the event is open to every kind of powerboat . The event is not outrageously priced in fact the event is FREE to participate in ,it cost nothing to run your boat on the tour. The is a small registration fee to receive the event T-shirt participate in prize give aways and to attend the two live band parties,It is about the price of a T-shirt. That is about 4% of the fee charged at other boating events. All kinds of boats are welcome and all types of boats do come on the tour we have everything from $500 backyard rebuilds to world record setting offshore rigs.
In being a sponsor you will be able to set up as a vendor or exhibitor at the event site [$120 Value] also you will receive an embroidered Boating toys for tots polo shirt [$42 value] 5 event shirts [$65 value] 2 passes for event registration [$50 value] You logo is placed on the event T-shirt and also in the event program with your marketing message every event guest will receive these items [$200 value]. Previous to the event you will receive dozens of event invitations that is redeemable for a FREE event T-shirt *. At the event you are welcome to take center stage with the media and guests .
The TFT tour guests are boat owners who even in this economy have a significantly better than average income and may be of interest for your company to market to .

The Us Marines would like to invite every Powerboater with a good heart to come to the 2012 Boating Toys For Tots Tour.
The 2012 Boating Toys For Tots Tour is a boating event like no other . We ask that boaters bring a new toy and your boat to the Quality Inn of Palatka Fl. There we will have a Captains meeting at 10AM Saturday Nov 17 . The Tour will start at exactly 11:30 and run down the St Johns River to the Welaka city dock were the US Marines will be waiting to collect your toys and gifts . This is followed by a lunch at the Welaka lodge and later a live band party at the host hotel.
On Friday Nov 16 there will be a lunch run from the dock at the Quality Inn to Crescent city. Boaters will meet on the dock and be ready for the 11Am run to Crescent city for lunch and then back to the host hotel for a live band party.
The Boating Toys for tots tour is FREE to anyone who brings a toy and go on the toy run .We welcome all boaters. There is a small charge for registration , this gives you admission to the parties an event T-shirt and participation in the dozens of prizes that will be given to guests. Registration is only about the price of a T-shirt .
Please be safe. No jet skis please. Note that this event is a toy collection drive, not a race or a speed event and discretion should be used as these waterways have no speed limits and no special safety provisions are in pace for this event.
