engine hour fraud
Looking at a 525efi with a Whipple.
Is there a way to verify the true engine hours?
Or, does replacing the stock 555 pcm eliminate that possibility?
It seems after you do the Whipple conversion the hours go to zero with the new pcm.
Thanks!

They way I understand it when you install the whipple, Dustin reflashes your original pcm. I had a pcm sent to him for a upgrade and the hours stayed the same. Now I presume if you change the pcm to a new one it would start at zero. If your concerned about the engine condition I would want a leak down test on the cylinders. How many hours are on it? How many with the whipple?

I had to replace an ECM I fried. Had it reflashed to match the hrs of the other motor.
Was told any value could be entered. Just a little keystroke on the keyboard.
