Thumbs up Trim Tab Questions

I was wondering if i could get some input on what name brand fluid and what weight guys are running in their trim tabs.. Also can you elaborate on how often you change this fluid as well.. Do you normally change it the same time you would change the oil in the motor.. "20-25 Hours"

*** also what about the drive trim... what fluid and weight are people running and how often are they changing it as well..

Thanks for any and all input!!!!!

Merc/Quicksilver makes a fluid. Older service manuals said ATF and sometimes 30W OK. What happened with your boat choice Rod?

You do not need to change the trim tab fluid unless there is a problem or maybe every 10 years.
If you are talking about Merc/kiekauffer trim pumps which are used for KPlanes and outdrive trim pumps, most just use 30 wt oil.
ATF can be used also, but I would just use the same thing that is already in them.
