Yes that what i have made but the instruction are for moly-face ,cast iron top ring at 280-320 grit and chrome face top ring at 220-280 grit and say finish hone with a 22 to 24 deg cross-hatch.

But they never talking any spec for Ductile Iron face top ring on the spec sheet.

So i dont know if ductile iron top ring face can be finish like a chrome face ring???

I have get my answer about cylinder wall finish at Total seal, they also give me a spec for ring gap for marine blower app:

Top ring and rail: .044
second ring: .036
oil ring rail: min .015

Dont know if that big gap is ok?
Anyone already have good experiance with that ring gap seting??

supermx96,
I have worked with Total Seal on a number of projects. Their ring packs can be very application specific. That being said, their product and tech support is the best in the business. Call Keith Jones @ 1-623-587-7400, or email [email protected]. Have all pertinent data (water temps/closed/open cooling, boost levels, piston alloy ((2618 or4032)) available and they will give you very detailed cylinder prep information. Follow their recommendations and you won't have any issues with ring seal.
