Holman and Moody 289/315 HIPO value?
Evening, a very dear friend of mine bought a delapitated wet noodle 25' Nova Marine years ago up here in Maine, we all thought he was crazy for seeing any hope in the boat but head strong into the project he went. First to come out of the boat was this pair of what I believe to be original 289s; they Looked to be destined for the skiff anchor but away to Holman and Moody they went; about +/- 6 months later back they came fresh from top to bottom. He dropped some coin on these, I believe we have the recipts, and Holman and Moody #s are written on the intakes. Sadly Matt passed away two years ago and these engines have stayed fresh in their delivery crates ever since. What would these motors be valued at, any ideas? They are complete from intake to oil pan, no distributors or carbs. Where would be a good place to advertise these? Thanks. I have pics upon request.

You need to talk with Richard Weaver
Weaver's Marine Service & Storage
20 21St St
Shapleigh, Maine 04076 (207) 636-2133
Dick has several vintage Donzi's and would know what they are worth and my even have an interest himself.

Anything with the Holman and Moody logo has a value, Their are many Blue Oval collectors out their that will pay $$$ for those power plants. Just think Holman Moody Boss 429, the Super Stock record is still held to this day with one of those. And the car is local to me, and the owner is a friend of mine. Totally stock 10.45 in the quarter.Backed 100% by Ford, and you could buy it right off the showroom floor.
