Default automotive scanners

What else is out there besides the snapon stuff , I know you guys in the automotive business mentioned another unit that is not so much $$$$ , I have the solus pro and the continuous updates every 6 mos is ridiculous , what do you think ?

i have a solis pro,,,gave up on the updates,,they are nuts with pricing..i still use my mentor alot,,updates are real cheap..like 400 a year,,my vtronics i use for the gemstuff and their another one thats over priced but you have to have it..i do use my little bluepoint alot also to just read the basic codes so i dont have to mess with the big ones..i cas fix 90% of the cars out their with the little bluepoint one with the global obd II if the car just has a engine light and is not runninmg like chit..
