I changed my oil at the end of the season 4-5 month ago, maybe put 8hrs or so since the change. I know it will collect moisture if sits to long, just wondering if I should change it before I get her wet again.

Currently using VR1 50

Guess I could ask the same on gear oil!

Any input is appreciated !

i know a lot of people that always change it before the winter and run that oil throw the beginning of the session with no problems. now i always like to leave the older oil in the motors over the winter then change in the spring after de winterizing the boat and its fresh new oil. i think you will be good thow

i change my fluids and filters at the end of each year before storage,then in the spring im ready to go.i have done it this way for years with no issues.

Makes me feel better, I was getting a bit concerned. What bout drive oil....same?

Actually because the oil has moisture and acids in it you should change at the end if the season and leave clean oil in it. That oil will be fine to start on in the spring and less likely to etch the bearings than old oil sitting in there all winter.
