Default Need a 41 ft Formula PC transported from Hayes Va. to Slidell La.

Looking for cheap way of getting a 41ft. Formula PC from Hayes Va. 23072(close to Newport News) to Slidell La. 70458 Close to New Orleans). It weighs 20000lbs. and is 13.6 ft wide. I have a little time to take delivery and if someone could schedule another load so its not a one way delivery to help offset the costs. Let me know. Thanks Howard 504-913-6905 Please submit a bid. There is a lift there to load and a lift to take off.

No offense but why is it ok to ask for someone to do their job "cheap"? are you going to do your job cheap? Especially for someone that obviously has the money to afford what it should cost to haul a boat like that?

I understand everyone wants a fair deal. And yes you might be able to find someone "cheap". And that someone is the problem in our country. Its one thing to offer a fair lower price then the competion, and another to undercut so bad your business will obviously go under, but when they do, the next guy does the same thing, over and over, destroying all the profit in the industry. Does not matter if its trucking, lawn care, snow plowing, construction, etc.

It is very expensive to transport anything, and its sad how the transport industry is taken for granted, looked down upon, underpaid, etc.

Everyone who needs something shipped always thinks/hopes that what they need shipped will get a lucky "empty spot", "part of a 2 way delivery" etc. Seems easy but it never is. Your boat needs trailer A, the back haul boat needs trailer B, or has its own trailer, etc. Your boat can be moved on this date, other boat needs to be moved on another date. The driver does not get paid to wait around either, so Time is Money.

No hard feelings.

You get what you pay for
Make sure they are DOT legal
Insured
Have the proper equipment and expeirence
Understand that it is common to hire a transport company that might "broker" your load out if one of their own trucks is not availible. That can be a good thing because they will help "interview" your driver and make sure they meet all the requirments. They will have additonal ways to check the drivers records, reviews, history etc. They also have more ways to advertise your load to MANY truckers who are looking for back hauls. Brokers also are insured and bonded. So now essentially your load is double covered. Bad part is they take a cut.

Here is a well respected company that will not dissapoint. (not my company but really good people) They are not the lowest price, but the driver is also a surveyor, and knows better then anyone how to properly transport/load your baby without damage. Good luck on your haul and enjoy your new boat! Welcome to OSO!

13'6"- oversize permits in a half dozen states on top of carrying proper insurance and DOT and MC authorities; there will be nothing "cheap" with a move like this.

And keep in mind, oversize loads can only run during day light hours and most cities restrict them during rush hours.

You are going to have a hard time finding anything cheap in the oversize/over weight logistical department.

Good luck

Horo; Shipping a 41 ft 13.6 wide boat is not going to be cheap. You want a professional company to do it. It requires special permits and a semi with flag trucks.
